5 Days of Giveaways: Day 4 – GoPro

Before we left for the Galapagos Islands in the spring with Adventure Life, Beth and I debated whether or not to get a GoPro camera for the trip. Galapagos was a dream destination for us and we didn’t want to miss out on capturing it to its fullest, especially our snorkel sessions.

The problem was that we’re really tight on money during that time, so we decided to forgo it and use an underwater Nikon point and shoot that we had access to. That was a mistake. The Nikon did an okay job, but the quality of our underwater footage left a lot to be desired.

As luck would have it, shortly after our Galapagos trip, Captain Morgan (Yep, the rum!), reached out to us about hosting a campaign with several other blogs to promote a series of short films for the brand. Our compensation was a GoPro Hero 3 Silver. Better yet, they gave us a second one to giveaway to our readers. Unfortunately, I got really sick in late spring, which bought me a few days in the hospital, and we never got around to hosting a giveaway for the GoPro, until now!ย After some great sessions with the GoPro in Molokai and Maldives, we’re excited to be able give a GoPro to one of you guys!

We wanted to make this a fun holiday giveaway, so we made it as simple as possible to enter. Each completed task that you do below will earn you entries into this giveaway for the GoPro Hero 3 Silver. The contest will end at 11:59 p.m. Dec. 16, 2013. You can earn an additional 2ย entries each day by tweeting about the giveaway through the Rafflecopter widget below!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Since we asked you guys to share your favorite holiday drink with us, we thought it would be a good time to share ours too. Personally, I’m big fan of top shelf spirits during the holidays. I’ve had my eye on a bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label for sometime, and I think I may spring for it soon. Beth, on the other hand, loves hot coco and a nicely mixed Gin and Tonic with a lot of limes, of course.

GoPro Hero 3 Silver unboxed in pictures.

There’s a Poinsettia drink I had at the Bellagio during the holidays that I will never forget…
    2 parts of champagne
1 part of strawberry juice (or just mince it)
1 part of passion fruit juice
use 1 strawberry in the champagne glass to decorate ๐Ÿ˜‰

i LOVE drinking ponche over the winter. It is a Traditional Meixican Navidad drink that can be made in numerous familial variations. Unfortunately I do not have the ingredients in the US (where i live) to make the version that i know best, but here’s a recipe that is similar:
    http://mexicanfood.about.com/od/bebidasdrinks/r/ponche.htm
Ponche is a bit like apple cider and they drink it from about the day of the dead until just after the first of the year ๐Ÿ™‚ holidays las much longer in Mexico! hha or do they ever stop? I’m not sure… ๐Ÿ˜‰ <3

Hot Coco hands down – but I’m vegetarian so it’s really hard to find good marshmallows that I can eat! I always want to be an egg-nog type of girl, but I end up going back to my first love every time!

Since we live in Singapore one would think that our choice would not be a hot one. Egg Nog is pretty hard to find here and if you do it’s mind blowing expensive! I’m not a booze person so what choice does that leave me?… Well…I put the aircon on to 40 degrees F, sit under it, close my eyes and sip a piping hot cocoa! That does the trick! ๐Ÿ™‚

I also want to comment on the awesome camera give away! Loving it! you guys rock!

As I live in the southern hemisphere the holiday season is usually pretty hot. So my drink of choice is something that is icy cold (and it’s usually alcoholic!)
