Dreams That You Dare To Dream - Interstate 90, Massachusetts

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?

Lyrics by E. Y. Harburg

Best sung by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole

This photo was taken through a car windshield during the pouring rain on the Mass Pike in Massachusetts. The colors you see are lights from the cars ahead reflected in the rain drops. This picture is simple yet abstract and quickly becoming one of my favorites. The colors kind of remind me of some of my favorite Mark Rothko paintings. I can sit and stare at it for a long time and always see something different depending on my mood. It lets me get lost in it and for that I love it.

What do you think about it? Do you see anything in it?

It does remind me of a painting! I saw flowers too, tulips or roses strewn across black satin. Whatever you see, it’s beautiful 🙂

i love this photo. the smudging red, green yellow, and blue looks very cool , while there is a certain sharpness and clarity to it too. even though i’m not a photographer, i can appreciate this really great shot.
