I’ve been everywhere, man / Crossed the deserts bare, man / I’ve breathed the mountain air, man / Travel – I’ve had my share, man / I’ve been everywhere -Johnny Cash

Like Clark Griswold, Robert Salvon (Beth’s father) is an Original Traveler. For those of us in the travel game, we simply refer to guys like them as OTs. They’ve seen America. Not so much the gentrified landscape of today, but the raw, 1980s America, when families packed into 2-ton station wagons and flying was still magical. While both men have a lust for family vacations, Bob succeeded where Clark failed: he got his family interested in travel. Bob’s epic family adventures–California, Florida and many points in between–were the catalyst that sparked Beth’s wanderlust.

Last week, doctors re-admitted Bob to the hospital because of a foot infection. This is his third hospital stay in the past 6 weeks. Beth as well as the rest of her family have been spending a lot of time at the hospital to keep him company. In lieu of the situation, our editorial calendar for the week is pretty light, so if anyone has a guest post they would like to submit, we would love to hear from you. You can contact me at kalpr000@yahoo.com.

Get well soon Bob!

Randy

We think but not sure really. There is a lot of confusion as to what is wrong with him. Thank you for asking though! I am hoping by the end of this week we will have a clear sign either way. @Vi,
