Walking in Cinque Terra is like sleep walking. Every corner, ever nook looks like it was pieced from the pages of the most beautiful travel magazine you have ever laid eyes on. It is the Italy you dreamed about, lusted over and imagined in your head for the last decade. And yes, it is that good. Hiking Cinque Terra was definitely a turning point for me in Italy. Getting lost in the small streets, stumbling upon old cemeteries and swimming in the lightweight Mediterranean was surreal. Right around the time I took this picture I had that realization that I had finally truly arrived in Italy. That I was there, the big trip was an actual reality and instantaneously I knew I would never want to leave. Then I started looking at apartments.

Cinque Terra is crumbling, beautiful and every walkway seems to glow. Could I ask for anymore?

Go. Do the hike. You won’t regret it.
