The idea for the hidden pocket travel scarf was born from our day job here at Beers & Beans: Traveling The World!

As some of you may know I am a bit obsessed with hiding my important items (passport, camera, etc.) when we travel and one day I realized that the perfect hiding place was my scarf. I always travel with a scarf (who doesn’t) and no one would ever think of stealing it, making it a perfect hiding spot!

I have always loved making things by hand and so I came up with the best design I could think of that would make sense for everyone. Our travel scarf is perfect for the long-term backpacker or someone who just needs to run to the grocery store and wants to go hands-free!

Of course, I’m a bit biased but I think these scarves rock! They are super comfy and easy to wear. Everyone who has seen them and tried one has loved it. There are other pocket scarves on the market but I’ve really tried to make sure that my pockets are perfect – I’ve even designed them so they are virtually impossible to see (zipper is hidden on the seam) but can still hold a small guidebook, along with a variety of other items.

They can also hold an 8oz flask (making this scarf great for festivals and events!) and even full of liquid you cannot see the flask in the scarf.

I always hated money belts and could never bring myself to wear one, let alone buy one. I used to sew pockets into the interior of my pants when we traveled just to have a secret stash of ‘just in case’ money but now I no longer need to do that with the Speakeasy Travel Scarf!

You can safely tuck your money, wallet, phone, passport, lipstick, memory cards, camera filters, maps and whatever else you need into the hidden pocket. If you fall asleep on a train, no worries! No one will ever think to steal your scarf – they’ll be looking at your bags and coat pockets instead!
