Just like booking your flights or hotel, leaving your vehicle in airport parking should be researched and, if possible, purchased in advance before arriving at the airport. Why? Well, there are actually three reasons: Save, Save and Save!

By taking a few minutes to check out the airport’s parking situation online, you could potentially save money, time and yourself from the stress of dissecting the ins and outs of parking at that airport. We’ve laid out a few essential tips below, which should help your next airport excursion run a little more smoothly.

Save Money

Purchasing your tickets in advance can be a great way to save money on your airport parking. Because “advanced purchase” tickets can’t be cancelled or changed, travelers can often find good deals by booking ahead. Additionally, by researching your parking options ahead of time, you can get an idea of whether or not off-site parking may be a benefit of you. For example, say you are flying out of London’s Gatwick and plan to park your car in airport parking, with a little online research you may be able to find cheaper off-site parking options that include free transfers to the airport.

Save Time

Booking your parking in advanced allows you to map the route to your spot and budget in your costs for your trip before you even leave home. Planning out your parking will save you from the hassle and time drain of looking for a place to leave your car, which can turn into an even more expensive venture when you can’t find a spot and have to choose a higher cost parking location.

Save Yourself from Stress

With the unpredictable wait times to get through airport security points these days, planning your route to your airport parking lot will ensure that you give yourself enough time so that you are not rushing to catch your plane. Whether you are on a business trip or taking your yearly family vacation, there is just no worse way to start your trip than to miss or potentially miss your flight. Also, by booking your airport parking ahead of time, you don’t have to worry about paying too much for parking. Advance booking allows you to find the best prices from the comfort of your home instead of your car.

Bonus Tip:

If you are looking for cheap flights and holidays out of the UK to many of Europe’s top destinations, you can now book with Monarch Airlines on www.fly.co.uk.

You can save even more if you get rid of your car. The best way to enter and exit an airport is always walking. There are public buses or trains always somewhere nearby which are much cheaper than airport buses. Don’t trust the airport info or tourist info, ask from airport employees how they come to work and they will tell you. Happy travels!

There’s a great resource to find out in advance what airports lots are available. Click on http://www.airportparking.com and it gives you a selection of lots, user reviews and costs for most major airports. It’s especially good during peak travel times. And you get a discount on the price of parking when you make a reservation.

Wow, just have a friend or relative drop you off at the airport and pick you up.
Bring them back something for your appreciation. Or, if you can afford the trip you should be probably be able to afford airport parking.
