I’d like to see a show of hands. Who here has always wanted to map out a new location? Now, don’t be shy, I know I can’t be the only one who preferred Lewis and Clark to Batman and Robin as kid. Seriously, nobody?

Alright then, let me rephrase the question. Who would like to get paid 10,000 euros to drive around a tropical paradise, say Cape Verde off the coast of Western Africa, with your family or friends making navigable maps for GPS?

Oh yeah, now the hands are popping up. Well, you are in luck, because TomTom is currently looking for families or groups of friends to spend two weeks on Cape Verde mapping out the terrain for its campaign: TomTom’s Map Paradise Project, which will help create five new navigable maps for: Fiji, St. Lucia, Mauritius, Cape Verde, and the Seychelles.

Next question: Do you actually know how much $10,000 euros is in American greenbacks? Well, it’s approximately $12,270. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’ve never made that much for 14 days of work and, honestly, I don’t think I know anyone who has, including my friend who was a speaking  extra in Transformers 2, plus he only got to go to Chicago.

Now, you’re probably thinking this has got to be to good to be true. And to that, I’d say it’s not, and for more information as well as details on how to apply, go to TomTom.com/summer. Though, before you do that, I highly recommend watching this short, comical video from Tom Tom about its Map Paradise Project.
