Danube River Say Hello To Club Carlson.
I first met the mighty Danube River in Serbia. But it wasn’t until our river cruise with Gate 1 Travel a year later that I really got to know the Danube and the incredible towns that line its shores. And now, I have a chance to introduce the storied waterway to Club Carlson’s audience through its blog, A View From The Club.
This morning my story, 3 Unexpected Cities along the Danube River, went live on A View From The Club, and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. The Danube and its shoreline towns mesmerized me. The river has many faces, and during our upriver journey from Vienna, Austria to Regensburg, Germany, I got a good look at many of them. For example, in Bavaria, as we crept through a shallow, unregulated section of the Black Forest, the Danube felt mysterious and haunting. Though, in the Wachau Valley, as high ridges shot up from the shore on each side of us and the river grew wide, the Danudbe moved like a powerful python, snaking its way through the fertile landscape.
I fell in love with the Danube and its smattering of towns and villages that dot its shoreline, and I highly recommend anyone visiting Austria or Germany to get off the beaten path and spend sometime exploring the Danube’s charming riverside towns. I hope that you guys will check out our exclusive story on Club Carlson and use it to fuel your own wanderlust!

Wow, stunning photos! I just recently got acquainted to the Danube in Budapest and was fascinated with watching the boats travel up and down the river. Seeing the barges reminded me of my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA.

Well that depends… are empandas to be use as yoru main course? They go great with any typs of stew, such as lentil stew, locro, carbonda, etc. They also go great with a picada, which is a plate of cheeses, olives, and cold cuts. If you prefer something lighter, a big mixed salad is a nice alternative.
