Do you need news fast? Then check out MSN.
I’m pretty tech savvy, especially when it comes to the latest tech trends, like the Xbox One, tablets and smartphones. But with my love of the counter culture–music, movies and art–I find myself losing my edge on pop culture.
Honestly, that kind of scares me. Now, I’m not saying that I need to be all up in the Kardashian’s business (personally I could careless about them or any reality star prior to the Real World IV), but I do think it is important to keep up with current affairs and trends. Lately, in an attempt to stay young, I’ve been using MSN on my Windows 8 tablet for a few minutes each evening because it’s the fastest and easiest way to keep up with the trends. Not only is it a lot faster than Yahoo!, but I really like MSN’s design, in particular its font, as well as they way the news is curated.
Hands down, though, my favorite feature of using the redesigned MSN 8 is the fact that it incorporates touch so well. As I’ve talked about before, my main setup, whether at home or on the road, is the hybrid configuration of an Acer W510 and a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. When I’m sitting at my desk, I treat it like an all-in-one desktop, and at night or in the mornings before I make it downstairs, I use it like a tablet.
Simply put, MSN is a joy to use, and makes browsing the latest pop culture trends a breeze, literally.
We’ve put the speed of MSN to the test and now you can too! We’re giving away a $25 Microsoft Store gift card to one of our lucky U.S. readers!!!

It’s funny that you mention loosing touch with pop-culture. We like to blame it on being counter culture but I think we’re just getting “old”. Every once in a while I catch myself thinking, what’s wrong with kids these days? Then I realize I’ve turned into a grumpy old man 🙂 I totally find myself needing speed to figure out what people are talking about when I’m chatting on twitter or FB. I find myself looking up all kinds of actor names and such just to see who they are 🙂
On another note: the Great Gatsby was pretty cool.

My best tip is to remember to put your flag out in support of all the men and women who served.

My best Memorial Day “Know Now” tip is to see where all the celebrations are happening today.
