We have got an awesome Pin Up Live happening this week! REI (yes, the REI) will be our special guest host, and they’re doing it in style by offering up $100 gift cards to three lucky participants, a Pin Up Live first.
Join us this Wednesday (4/10) at 7 p.m. (EST) to have a real time chat about How To Make Your Vacation An Adventure with a healthy dose of Pinspiration, of course! It’s simple to participate on Wednesday, just head on over to our Pinterest board, Pin Up Live, which is dedicated to the event. We will be pinning inspirational travel pins to the board, each one containing a question related to packing. All you have to do is join in on the conversation!
Beth and I will be hosting the event with REI, who will be joining us live to chat and answer your questions.
Joining the conversation is easy!
We will pin seven of the question pins every few minutes and if you read or see something you like, we’d love to hear from you in the comment section of the pin. This is a way for all of us to share our travel stories in a visual way. During the chat we’ll be checking out your boards and repinning some of your items to the board as well. The theme for this week’s chat is How To Make Your Vacation An Adventure! REI will also be joining us live on Pinterest, so you can ask them any questions you might have through the comments on the pins. Feel free to chat away. We want to hear your travel tales!
Important: Pinterest does not use hashtags (#) in a real time way as of now so in order to follow the conversation, you’ll have to be on the Pin Up Live board at the dedicated time (Wed. 4/10 at 7pm EST) to participate. You will also need to refresh that page every couple of minutes to see the updates. Remember to refresh!
How do I enter to win the one of the REI gift cards?
In addition to the discussion, each person who leaves a comment to a question (you will get an entry for each question you comment on) will be entered to win one of the three $100 gift cards.
Why Pinterest?
Ever since joining Pinterest last year, we’ve been hooked. And a lot of it has to do with the inspired ideas and photos we encounter on a daily basis. There’s a lot of incredible people on Pinterest, but no real good way to have a conversation–until now. As avid travelers, we love sharing our travel tales and we believe the best tips and advice comes from your connections–family, friends and social networks. Pin Up Live brings the conversation to Pinterest, making it easy for people to connect and share stories, tips and beautiful images, while developing a comprehensive travel resource board that will grow more robust as new topics are discussed in the weeks and months ahead. Every week we have a different travel theme, so please let us know if you have anything in mind you’d like to chat about. 🙂

Such a fun idea! I never really knew you could chat via Pinterest, may have to start divvying my time up between that and Twitter! Thanks for the info;-)
