[google1][pinit count=”vertical” url=”http://www.beersandbeans.com” float=”right”] St. Patrick’s Day is less than a month away so we thought we put together our Roomorama apartment picks centered around three of the best St. Patty’s Day celebrations–Boston, Chicago and San Francisco.

Boston | Penthouse: Great Views + Roof Deck | $165/night

A roof deck on a brownstone building in Boston.

Boston holds the #1 spot for America’s best St. Patrick’s Day celebration and for good reason: it is the first parade on record for the holiday. Yep, you heard me right. The Irish Society of Boston held the world’s first St. Patty’s Day parade in 1738, nearly two centuries before Dublin, Ireland.

This Back Bay Penthouse in a classic six story brownstone is the perfect place for getaway to Boston for its famous St. Patrick’s Day parade. Located next to the Harvard Club on Commonwealth Avenue Mall, the recently renovated apartment features a dining room table for four, sofa bed, working fireplace, new kitchen, tile bathroom, hardwood floors, WiFi and a roof deck.

Chicago | Gold Coast | $195/ night

The living room of an apartment near Oak Beach in Chicago.

With its massive collection of Irish-inspired floats and dyed green Chicago River, the city’s St. Patty’s Day is considered to be the second best in the nation.

Located in the stylish Gold Coast neighborhood, this 1890s vintage Georgian one bedroom apartment is only a half block to Oak Beach and is close to the award winning restaurants and nightlife on Rush Street. Additionally, it is only one block to the Magnificent Mile. The apartment features a queen size bed with 1600 thread count brushed Egyptian cotton sheets as well as queen size sleeper sofas in the living room. This flat was recently renovated to include ensuite laundry facilities and a mini gym.

San Francisco | Twin View | $350/night

The living room in a San Francisco Victorian in the Castro.

Personally, if I had to pick my favorite city to celebrate St. Patty’s Day in, then it would have to be San Francisco. The city by the bay knows how to have a good time, so when you mix in the festivities of St. Patrick’s Day, you get one of the best parades in America.

They’ve been doing it since 1852, so I it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about throwing a St. Patrick’s parade. The heart of San Francisco’s parade takes place along Market Street, which is what makes this three bedroom Victorian flat set between Twin Peaks and Castro the perfect place to stay for St. Patrick’s Day. Following the parade, all you have to do is hop the historic F-Line to get home. Better yet, you can bet that the Castro will be partying well into the night. This home is fully equipped with Wi-Fi internet access and Cable TV, so you can enjoy a movie on the large flat screen TV or explore the Castro neighborhood, which is teeming with shops, bars, a historic movie theater and enough restaurants to keep your belly full 24 hours a day. The price listed on Roomorama is for up to six guests.
