Hartmann Luggage Photo Review

About a week ago, we posted our video review of the Hartmann Luggage we received. In short – we loved the bag! Randy was toying with the idea of going the roll-away route for the next leg of the trip and giving up on the backpacking idea, so it worked out perfectly that Hartmann sent us their 21″ expandable Packcloth luggage for a review. We planned on being in Southeast Asia at this point but with my father’s illness we had to postpone our plans. In lieu of an international jaunt, we took the bag to Boston for the weekend to give it a run through the subways, alleys and cobblestone streets.

It held up like a champ!

Really this luggage is fantastic, I’m not just saying that either. The suitcase has antique brass hardware throughout and is made of CORDURA fabric–a durable, stain resistant nylon that wipes clean easily. It also meets the airlines size requirement for a carry-on bag.

Inside the bag there are two straps that hold your clothes snugly and securely. There are also five additional pockets inside and one large pocket on the outside. Three of the interior pockets are removable and come with a strap that allows you to hang them from a door handle or hanger – very convenient! One of the pockets is also made of a thick plastic to accommodate toiletries. Honestly, at first I wondered if this bag would be big enough to take around the world, but when we got it and started using the pockets, I was amazed at how much it could hold. I know this bag will be a perfect fit for all of Randy’s travel gear.

I should also note that the bag comes with an extra strap that allows you to attach another small bag (laptop bag would be a perfect fit) to the outside securely–perfect if you are running through customs and don’t want to carry anything on your back or shoulders.

Without a doubt this was the highest quality bag either one of us have ever used, and we were grateful for the opportunity to review it and take it for a spin. We definitely love it! If you are in the market for a high quality travel bag that you will have for years to come this one will make you a very happy camper. It would also make the perfect gift for that extra special traveler in your life.

To see more of Hartmann’s wide variety of luggage be sure to check out their site – Hartmann.com. To view the Packcloth online you can view this link: Hartmann 21″ Expandable Mobile Traveler. Here are some photos from our day around town with the luggage. Randy also created a cute 1 minute promo for them – if you missed it you can see it here – Hartmann Luggage Video Review.

What a great way to profile luggage – loved the juxtaposition of black and white versus turquoise. Very inventive and Randy you certainly did your bit. I’ve heard great things about Hartmann luggage and have been impressed with their twitter stream.

Love this! Such a creative way to look at luggage and to actually see it being put into use. Smart.
