What is Beers & Beans anyway?

Beers and Beans is about budget travel.
Beers and Beans is about photography and journalism.
Beers and Beans is about vegetarian food & good beer. 
Beers and Beans is about volunteering.
Beers and Beans is my new soapbox.

Aside from being an artistic trip planning, culture shocking and good drinking travel website, Beers and Beans is really about helping others. Possibly the most important aspect of this site is the desire to fill it with good information about good people all around the world. People working hard to make a difference. 

Who are we? 


One of the largest goals for the website/trip is to learn more about microfinance. We would love to meet up with bankers and indiginous leaders and get involved in with or establish networking for a microfinance community. If anyone reading this is working on something similar please contact us to see if there is a way we can join forces to make this goal more of a reality. We would love to help a similar organization anyway possible before heading out on the trip and while on the road.
