Travel Photo Of The Week – Panajachel Village on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala

photo of the week 3

Image: Panajachel Village on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala   This photo was taken as we were leaving Panajachel on route to Santiago via a ferry over Lake Atitlan. I’ll have to post some photos of the lake because it is seriously stunning – one of the most beautiful I have seen. Little villages dot the circumference of the lake and it’s flanked in the back by a volcano. Travel eye candy and also extremely serene and peaceful. We…

Travel Photo Of The Week – Palm Tree in Maldives

photo of 233k

Image: Palm Girl Sway, Maldives Palm Tree in Maldives taken at Gili Lankufushi island. The place is drop dead beautiful in every way and relaxing beyond belief. I like this lonely giant palm swaying in the breeze like a hula girl over the backdrop of the overwater bungalows. These bungalows are so private that they are only accessible by boat. So James Bond style.   Want more travel photos? Check out our other weekly travel photos or…

Travel Photo Of The Week – San Trovaso Squero in Venice

venice trial

Image: San Trovaso Squero in Venice, Italy  We’re starting a new segment here on Beers & Beans – travel photo of the week! I realized when going through some old images this past week that there are so many good photos that never really get highlighted on our site and I thought I’d change that. Some of our loyal readers may remember the Somewhere In Time portfolio (my personal travel collection) but in the past year I’ve…

Balance needed. I forgot the password to my baby

Mom jeans look good on everyone. Said no one ever.

It’s 4:58 pm and I just realized I forgot my own password to log into Beers & Beans. Holy cow. Have our lives gotten that crazy? Has it really been a month since either one of us have been able to sit down and write a post? My eyes welled up instantly. It’s like forgetting your own baby at the train station. That’s what Beers & Beans is to me – my baby. And…

Win a free cruise for every year of your life!

Processed with VSCOcam with f3 preset

Most of you know we partnered up with Carnival Cruise Line in late 2014 and took a really fun cruise through the Western Caribbean. We had an awesome time on our trip and one of our favorite parts was just the feeling of being away from it all. With limited access to wifi and the constant company of the waves you get plenty of time to just be in the moment and relax. Something that…

7 Reasons Why We’re Over the Moon About Traveling to Jordan

7 Reasons Why We're Over the Moon About Traveling to Jordan:

To say that my life got better when I met Beth would be a colossal understatement. On our second date, for example, she told me confidently that we’d travel the world together and, like so many other things, she was right. In those early days, we talked a lot about our dream destinations, and Jordan was always at the top of her list. I must admit, I didn’t know too much about the country then,…

Helsinki and the Flow Festival in 12 Snaps

Helsinki and the Flow Festival in 12 Snaps

Helsinki popped on to my radar a few years back when we interviewed skateboarder Bam Margera at the X-Games in Los Angeles. The Jackass star said the city topped his list of favorite places to visit. Why? A thriving music scene and some terrific skate spots were the big reasons. Now that we’ve spent a few days in Helsinki ourselves, I couldn’t agree more with Margera’s assessment–it’s everything he said and more. For example, the…
