About Us

The Meeting:

In the oldest bar in San Diego, we locked eyes as I was squeezing past Randy’s seat. It was instantaneous.

On the second date I announced to Randy that I was going around the world and that I had decided he was coming with me. Strangely I don’t remember telling him this but he swears this is what happened. Although I had been thinking of doing this for the past 8 or so years, this was a new idea to Randy and against his better judgement he said he yes (he later admitted he was completely freaked out since we had only known each other for a short time). It would take at least a year and half for him to warm up and embrace the idea. Fortunately for me once he got on the train there was no getting off. off.

Chachy in the sun.

4 Years Later:

Beth: 33 Randy: 31 We live by the water in sunny San Diego with our little dog Chachy. Since Randy is a journalist and I am a photographer we’re hoping we may actually be able to pull this whole idea off and possibly make a little money during the journey. While our primary goals are enjoying time on the road, meeting new people, seeing new lands and experiencing new cultures, we’re also looking to create opportunities on the road that could spark a change for the rest of our lives. We will do anything and go anywhere and if anyone reading this needs an article, a photo, or both of some far flung land or a commonly frequented location please contact and tempt us with your amazing idea. You can have fun watching us get extremely excited about working for free or more hopefully - almost free!

bethie-resized.JPG Randyson is quite the Don Juan of Capistrano. He likes Guiness Stout, catching trout and running about half naked. I’ll tell you more and I promise it’s not a bore. It’s a funny tale - a new folk lore about a very unlikely fine arts drawer, located in my bedroom. It’s just the beginning of my tale to tell but I’ll leave you now and fare thee well. For I know again, I will see your moon on a different type of horizon. And just like you, in a half asleep trance, in far off lands, I see us dance.
