The Eiffel Tower in HDR- Paris, France – Somewhere In Time Weekly Travel Photo.
Somewhere In Time is a weekly travel photo from around the world. Enjoy!
One of the first things we wanted to see in Paris was the Eiffel Tower. However after a long day on our feet and taking the wrong metro stop we weren’t wowed by it. Which was obviously, sad. I mean this is the Eiffel Tower – this is one of the most amazing sights in the world. I was loving Paris, so why wasn’t I feeling this?
I was determined to go back and see what I knew was really there- whatever it was I had missed before. We made it back the night before we left and this time we got off at the right metro stop. That made all the difference in the world. Instead of wandering by crappy crepe carts (I know, I tried them) and seeing peeks of the tower as we winded down dark alleys, we wandered up a bustling avenue and then suddenly, it appeared. Exactly as I had imagined it in my mind – glowing, luminous and perfect in every single way. I think I actually gasped when I laid my eyes on it the second time.
It had just rained and the reflections in the puddles made the ambiance even more beautiful. The tower glittered, children played, lovers kissed, people laughed and I took photos. I recently decided to take 3 of them and make an HDR photo out of them. I hope you like it as much as I do.
