From the food to the people, the architecture to the wafting smells of chocolate & baking bread, Oaxaca is a beautiful city that is a feast for the senses. I absolutely loved Oaxaca and I would recommend it to anyone. The photos below are some that I took just walking around town. While some of them are not the most exciting, they give you a great taste of some of the beauty that the city holds. If you get a chance – go to Oaxaca. You won’t regret it.

Great photos.
Slowly heading that way now, finishing up the Yucatan, onto Chiapas, then Oaxaca.

Beautiful shots, if I had to pick a fave it would be the last one (although those benches are far from comfortable, right!) The first one featuring the clouds is almost 3D!
Wonderful series, your blog design is stunning also.

Excellent photos Beth…did you make it to Puerto Escondido? Not much of a cultural place but it has massive surf than can be spectacular…

Thanks for your comment Federico! We didn’t make it to Puerto Escondido because we didn’t have enough time but we really wanted to.
Hopefully next time.

I don’t think there is anywhere else in the world where you would find such beautiful and colourful buildings, great pics.
